What changed for Aeldari in 11th edition
11th edition was kind to the Aeldari: across the units that were re-priced, roughly twice as many came down as went up, and nothing new was added or taken away. If you played the Asuryani in 10th, your collection plays exactly the same. The maths got a little friendlier on more sheets than not, and the craftworlds came out of the transition a touch cheaper.
Summary
- 50 units repriced, 7 new, 20 unchanged
- Biggest drop: Wraithknight (-50)
- Biggest rise: Shroud Runners (+10)
- Detachment Points: 2 / 3 / 3 at Incursion / Strike Force / Onslaught
Detachments
The Aeldari detachment sheet carries straight over from 10th edition, so the only thing to relearn on the army-building side is Detachment Points. Your detachment now has a cost, taken from the army total before you buy units: 2 points for an Incursion game, 3 for Strike Force, 4 for Onslaught. It is the same fee for every craftworld detachment, so it does not steer the choice between them. Write it at the top of the list and build below it.
New in 11th: Fateful Performance, Twilight Flickers, Path of the Outcast. None removed.

Points changes
A gentle net cut: of the sheets that moved, twenty-one came down against eleven that rose, while the rest of the roster held steady. The savings land on the heavies and specialists. The Night Spinner dropped 20 (190 to 170), the Wraithknight came down 20 (435 to 415), the Avatar of Khaine 15, and Jain Zar shed 15. The increases are smaller and sit on fast aspect and jetbike units. A number of units are priced per squad size, so tally the size you field.

Frequently asked questions
Did the Aeldari get better in 11th edition?
On points, yes. Twenty-one drops against eleven rises means a craftworld list mostly got cheaper, and the drops fell on the models that cost the most to begin with. A Wraithknight and a Night Spinner together save 40 points before you look at anything else, and the Avatar and Jain Zar add another 30. Lists built on fast aspect and jetbike units gain least, since that is where the rises sit; lists built on Wraith constructs gain most.
What got cheaper for the Aeldari in 11th edition?
The heavy hitters. The Wraithknight leads the savings on raw points at 435 to 415, the Night Spinner came down 20, and the Avatar of Khaine and Jain Zar each shed 15. Seventeen more sheets dropped by smaller amounts, so whether you build around Wraith constructs or an aspect-warrior spearhead, most rows on your list held or improved.
How do Detachment Points work for the Aeldari in 11th edition?
The fee comes off the top of your list total and grows with the game size, so an Onslaught army spends twice the Detachment Points an Incursion one does. With no detachments added or removed for the Aeldari, this is the whole of the army-building change for the craftworlds.
Is now a good time to start an Aeldari army?
A good one. The centrepiece models a new collection saves up for, the Wraithknight and the Avatar among them, are cheaper than they were, and the range is stable with nothing cut. The Starting an Aeldari Army guide has a sensible buying order.
